Bratislava, 05.09.2024
I . Slovak Conference on Medical Education and Simulation (I . Slovenská konferencia medicínskeho vzdelávania a simulácií), organised by the University of Comenius in Bratislava, Faculty of Medicine (Univerzita Komenského v Bratislave, Lekárska fakulta), took place on 05 September 2024r in the Slovak capital. The event was well attended, with representatives of universities from Slovakia – Bratislava, Košice, Banská Bystrica, Prešov, Martin, Žilina and from the Czech Republic – Plzeň, Ostrava and Brno – and other guests honouring their presence.
The conference was opened by LF UK Dean Professor Juraj Payer, State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic and State Secretary of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic.
The speakers presented their history and experiences with medical simulation. They also identified the strengths and weaknesses of simulation teams, areas for improvement, and planned future activities.
Medcam was present at the invitation of one of our distributors in Slovakia, whom we actively supported in discussions with those interested in implementing our solutions.
Thank you for the invitation – it was a great pleasure to meet familiar faces again and to be able to engage in a discussion about the future of Slovak medical simulation.
