Summer Medical Simulation Workshop
The Summer Medical Simulation Workshop MEDSIM 2023 was held on September 08-10. Polish medical simulation society meeting in the magical atmosphere of Bydgoszcz’s Rother’s Mills also took place in Department of Basic Clinical Skills and Postgraduate Education of Nurses and Midwives and Medical Simulation Center of Collegium Medicum UMK in Bydgoszcz.
Day 1.: Lots of great speeches, emotions and a decent dose of knowledge! An additional attraction was the escape room organized and conducted by Aleksandra Steliga from Pomeranian University in Słupsk and Zofia Tekień – Jankowska from Medical Simulation Center of Collegium Medicum of the University of Nicolaus Copernicus in Toruń.
Day 2.: OSCE workshops – making sandwiches under the guidance of great medical simulation specialists: Marek
Dąbrowski, Wojciech Dzikowski and Marek Muster. Lots of useful tips, insights and knowledge based on years of priceless experience.
Day 3.: Practical preparing scenarios and assessment cards for the OSCE exam with the use of Medcam system,
playing examiner and student’s roles and…SUCCESS! All participants passed!

There was also plenty of excitement and a great atmosphere in the other workshop groups:

* Pediatrics and neonatology
* Surgery and physical examination
* Medical Simulation Operative Specialists (Technicians)
